UEFA Euro 2024 will kick off as hosts Germany take on Scotland in the opening encounter.

UEFA Euro 2024 is going to be hosted in Germany from June 15-July 15, 2024 in Germany. The opening encounter will be between Germany and Scotland at Munich.

The knockout stage will begin from June 29, and the final is to be held at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on July 15.

UEFA Euro is the first tournament Germany is hosting a major international tournament since the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Defending champions Italy will start their campaign against Albania on June 16. They are placed along with Croatia and Spain in the ‘Group of Death’.

Top European football stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos is set to play their last European Championship. Cristiano Ronaldo will be the first player to play in six editions of the European Championship. He already holds the record for most appearances (25) and goals (14).

The Croatian Luka Modric is on the verge of his fifth participation in the UEFA Euro. He is the most-capped player in Croatia’s history, with 175 appearances. He has won 96 matches for Croatia with only 46 draws and 38 losses.

Julian Nagelsmann, the coach of Germany, has brought Toni Kroos back from retirement to play the tournament. Kroos has a World Cup under his belt and several league titles, but has never won an European Championship. He definitely wants a fairytale end to his career by winning the UEFA Euro.
