Paris Paralympics Day 8- Kapil Parmar was the sole medal winner as he clinched India’s first-ever Judo Paralympic medal.
At the end of Paris Paralympics Day 8, China leads the medal table with an impressive 166 medals including 74 gold. Great Britain is in second place, having a total of 84 medals, including 34 gold. Having already put together their best-ever medals tally at the Paralympic Games, India is now placed in 25th position on the medal table.
On the Paris Paralympics Day 8, India’s only medal winner was Kapil Parmar. He defeated Elielton de Oliveira of Brazil to win bronze in Men’s J1 60 kg Judo event.
Simran finished in the 4th position in the 100m T12 final. She missed out on the podium by 0.05 seconds. There was another 4th place finish as Harvinder Singh and Pooja lost the bronze medal match in the Mixed Team Recurve event.
