Paris Olympics Day 7- Manu Bhaker on the verge of creating history as India had a productive day at the Olympics. Catch the latest updates and highlights.

Though India’s medal tally stands at three, yet there were plenty of medal hopes created by India on Paris Olympics Day 7.

Bhaker qualified for the Women’s 25m Pistol Final and kept her run for third medal intact. However, India’s Esha Singh finished 18th and was knocked out.

In Badminton, sensational Lakshya Sen became the first Indian male shuttler to qualify for the Olympics semifinals.

The Indian Archery Mixed Team of Ankita Bhakat and Dhiraj Bommadevara came close to the bronze medal but lost to the US team in the medal match.

The Men’s Hockey team put up a superlative performance to beat Australia in their final pool match 3-2. It was India’s first victory against the Aussies at the Olympics since 1980.

Sha’Carri Richardson won her first-ever race at the Olympics. Hr ran the 100 meters in 10.94 seconds to qualify for the semifinals.

The US Mixed 4x400m Relay team set a world record when Vernon Norwood, Shamier Little, Bryce Deadmon and Kaylyn Brown finished the four laps in 3:07.41 seconds. the previous record was 3:08.80 seconds set at World Championships 2023.

Léon Marchand won his 4th gold by winning the 200m Individual Medley. At Paris, he has previously won 400m Individual Medley, 200m Butterfly and 200m Backstroke events. 

Trampoline gymnasts Ivan Litvinovich and Viyaleta Bardzilouskaya of Belarus became the first two neutral athletes to win medals at Paris Olympics. They are two of the 17 Belarusians and 15 Russians competing as individual athletes for Team AIN at the Paris Games.
