Paris Olympics- Closing Ceremony
The closing ceremony started with French swimmer Leon Marchand walking up to the cauldron. The cauldron is extinguished with the flame captured in the lantern.
Unlike the closing ceremony that took place at the banks of River Siene, the closing ceremony was organised inside the monumental Stade de France. Hockey legend PR Sreejesh joined shooter Manu Bhaker as the flag-bearer of the Indian contingent for the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games.
As the Olympic flag was handed over to Los Angeles Olympic committe, Hollywood legend Tom Cruise came down the Stade de France. He took the flag with him and started for Los Angeles on his bike.
