Paris Olympics and Paralympics organisers have initiated a unique concept of medal winners celebrating with fans at Champions Park.
Champions Park is located in the Trocadéro at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. It is for the first time in the history of the Summer Games, all the medal winners will be invited to celebrate with fans at Trocadéro. Anybody can have free accessible to the Champions Park to meet the winners.
The Park is scheduled to be open from July 29 2024, to August 10, 2024. There is an unreserved daily capacity of 15,000 spectators.
“Champions Park is a completely groundbreaking concept for the Summer Olympic Games,” remarked Martin Fourcade, President of Paris 2024 Athletes Commission.
Every day, there will be the celebration of the previous day’s medal winners at the Champions Park. They will be invited to take part in a parade and meet the public. The day’s finals are also set to be broadcast live in the evening.
The programme will also include performances by artists and cultural activities. Thus, there will be a complete and universal celebratory experience for all the attendees.
Likewise, Club France is created to celebrate the achievements of the French athletes with fans. It will be based at the Grande Halle of the Parc de la Villette.
Club France will exclusively welcome the day’s French medal winners.The fans and other stakeholders will be able to interact with new champions along with seasoned Olympians. Thus, it will be the place where the entire sporting ecosystem of France will come together and prepare for the future.
