The 8th Senior National Dueball Championship recently concluded in Nagpur with Mumbai taking gold in Men’s category while Tamil Nadu taking the highest honour in Women’s category.
It was an action-packed three-days of high octane Dueball at the RTMN University Ground in Nagpur when 28 Men’s team and 24 Women’s team from across the nation participated in the 8th Senior National Dueball Championship. At the end it was the Spirit of Sport that dominated, bringing forward the effort of those sports enthusiasts who are constantly trying to make India a truly sporting nation.
In the Men’s category, Mumbai won gold while West Bengal and Vidarbha took silver and bronze respectively. In the Women’s category Tamil Nadu became champion while Vidarbha settled for silver and Mumbai took bronze.
The closing event was attended by national and international sporting delegates. Nutcharut Klamthawe and Niphon Phuekkert of Thailand Dueball handed over the prize to the winning teams and players. Syed Nawab Ali, General Secretary of Dueball Federation of India and Firoz Khan, Founder of Dueball were also present at the event.
The Federation was proud to award the Best Player of the Championship in Men’s category to Abu Taher Sardar from West Bengal and in Women’s category to T Shalini from Tamil Nadu.

Best Goalkeeper (Men)- Vikram Parmar from Vidarbha
Best Goalkeeper (Women)- Urmila Dhote from Vidarbha
Best Emerging Player (Men)- Vinit Vengurlekar from Goa
Best Emerging Player (Women)- Vaishnavi Rawat from Uttarakhand
Best Defender (Men)- Rahul Thakor from Gujarat
Best Defender (Women)- Devta Naik from Goa
Beat Disciple (Team)- Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka
