A glitzy start to the Khelo India University Games 2021 took place at the Sree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium in Bengaluru in the presence of Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu.
A captivating light and sound show along with some breathtaking performance depicting Karnataka’s cultural heritage were displayed at the opening ceremony of Khelo India University Games 2021. The Games were declared open by Vice President Venkaiah Naidu. “I appeal to all youngsters across the country to make sports a part of their lives so that you can lead a meaningful life,” Naidu said.
Prime Minister, Narendra Modi shared a special message virtually during the inaugural ceremony. The Prime Minister said, “Holding of the Khelo India University Games in Bengaluru will add to the energy of this beautiful city.” He underlined the importance of team spirit, holistic approach and 100 percent dedication as the mantras for success.
