Indian Men’s and Women’s Compound Archery team win silver at the Asian Games

The Indian Men and Women’s Archery team won silver medals in the compound event, narrowly losing out to South Korea in both finals. The Indian Women’s team comprising Muskan Kirar, Madhumita Kumari and Jyothi Surekha Vennam, lost 228-231 to Korea. India were leading 59-57 after the first set but Korea won the second set 58-56. In the third set India lost under pressure losing 55-58. 

The men’s compound team also lost to South Korea narrowly and got the silver medal. The team comprising of Abhishek Verma, Aman Saini & Rajat Chauhan produced a spectacular performance. The two teams tied first at the end of four sets and then after the shootout. But it was by the virtue of hitting more perfectly at the bull’s eye that Korea won the gold medal.
