India ended their first Super 4 stage match of the 10th men’s Hockey Asia Cup with a draw against Korea. Striker Gurjant Singh scored the last-minute equaliser to save the day for India.
Korea came out as a dangerous defensive side who did not give any chance to the scoring Indian side. In spite of having more ball possession, India failed to score. In the third quarter Korea’s Jungjun Lee scored the first goal in the 44th minute. They were leading almost till the end of the match when in the 60th miute Gurjant Sinh scired the goal for India.
India, who finished the pool stages with an all-win record, looked the most dominating team in the tournament so far in all aspects of the game. But Korea, on the other hand, were far from impressive in the game.
