Paris Olympics Day 8: Simone Biles wins her 10th Olympic medal

Paris Olympics Day 8- Indians were left disappointed as Manu Bhaker finished 4th in 25m Air Pistol and Nishant Dev failing to qualify for the semi finals.

“I got like really nervous about it, but again, I was trying my best to keep calm and to just try to do my best. But that was not enough.” really not enough for Manu Bhaker to get a hat-trick of Olympic medals on Paris Olympics Day 8.

Bhaker finished 4th in the women’s 25m pistol final. At one point, she was in second place, but slipped to fourth and missed the bronze.

Veteran archer Deepika Kumari again missed an opportunity for an Olympic medal. She began with a win in 1/8 elimination round. But in the quarterfinal, she lost 4-6 to South Korea’s Nam Suhyeon.

Pugilist Nishant Dev missed a semifinal berth when he was defeated by Mexican boxer Marco Verde 1-4 in a split decision.

Katie Ledecky won her 9th Olympic race. American swimmer Michael Phelps holds the record with 23 gold medals. 

China continued to dominate on Paris Olympics Day 8 with a tally of 16 gold medal followed by USA, France and Australia.
