Paris Olympics Day 6: Swapnil Kusale’s bronze medal was the only bright sport on a rather dull day for the Indians.
On Paris Olympics Day 6, Swapnil Kusale added to India’s medal tally with a bronze in Men’s 50m 3 Positions Shooting. Kusale also became the first Indian shooter to win a medal in the men’s 50m rifle 3P event.
This is India’s third Olympic medal in this edition and all three came in Shooting. Before this, India’s best performance in shooting came at the 2012 London Olympics, with Vijay Kumar getting a silver in the Men’s 25m Rapid Fire Pistol event and Gagan Narang getting a bronze in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle event.

Gymnastic legend Simone Biles won the gold in Women’s All-Around Gymnastics on Raris Olympics Day 6, becoming the oldest woman to accomplish the feat since 1952. Biles is now the proud owner of six Olympic gold medal, the most of any U.S. gymnast.
Canada’s 17-yesr old swimmer, Summer McIntosh, clinched her second gold medal of the Olympics. She romped to victory in the 200m Butterfly event. Earlier she also won gold in the 400m Individual Medley and silver in the 400m Freestyle.
Top-ranked Women’s Tennis player Iga Swiatek lost to to China’s Zheng Qinwen in the semifinals. On the other hand, Carlos Alcaraz of Spain became the youngest player to reach an olympic semifinal.
