Veteran Indian speedstar, Jhulan Goswami, has now 40 wickets in World Cup, a feat that she achieved in India women’s team’s clash against West Indies in the ongoing ICC Women’s World Cup 2022.
Jhulan Goswami dismissed West Indies batter Anisa Mohammed in the 36th over of the match against West Indies to pick up her 40th wicket in World Cup and become the highest wicket-taker in the Women’s World Cup. She surpassed Australia’s Lyn Fullston who had picked up 39 wickets in 20 Women’s World Cup matches between 1982 to 1988. Goswami achieved the feat in her 31st World Cup match.
