In their opening match of Hockey World League semifinals, India defeated Scotland 4-1. Ramandeep Singh scored twice while Akashdeep Singh and Harmanpreet Singh scored on goal each. In the first half India conceded a surprise goal but came back in the match by scoring all four goals in the 3rd Quarter.
