Sensational sprinter Hima Das took her Junior World Champion tag a bit ahead by winning the silver in 400m at the Asian Games 2018. Hima clocked 50.59 seconds to win the silver, behind Bahrain’s Salwa Naser who won the gold with a new Games Record of 50.09 seconds.
For Hima, it was her second national record in two days. She qualified for the final with a national record of 51.00 seconds. Another Indian sprinter, Nirmala Sheorancame fourth with a time of 52.96 seconds.
In the Men’s 400m, Indian star Muhammed Anas clocked 45.69 seconds to clinch the silver. The gold was won by Hassan Abdalelah of Qatar in 44.89 seconds.
