Nazar Mohammad, Pakistan’s first Test centurion, was born on this day. He played only five Tests and all against India in 1952-53.

Eddo Brandes, the Zimbabwean seamer who was famous for his chicken farm, was born on this day. Brandes seamed the ball with ease and was successful against England particularly. In 1992 Word Cup his of 4 for 21, including the wickets of Graham Gooch and Graeme Hick helped the Zimbabweans t win by nine runs. He is also the owner of a hat- in Harare in 1996-97.
