Muskan Kirar and Promila Daimary win gold in Archery Asia Cup

17-year old Muskan Kirar won the gold medal in the Women’s Compound event at the Archery Asia Cup stage 1 competition in Bangkok.

She was joined by Promila Daimary who won gold in Women’s Recurve. Along with them, Madhu Vedwan and Gaurav Trambak Lambe won bronze medals in the Women’s and Men’s Recurve events respectively.

Mushkan Kirar, who hails from Madhya Pradesh, beat top-seeded Malaysia’s Zakaria Nadhirah 139-136 in the final while Daimary, who hails from Assam, who stunned World championship bronze medallist Erdynieva Natalia 7-3 in the final. Vedwan beat Mongolia’s Altangerel Enkhtuya 6-5 while Lambe got the better of Malaysia’s Kamaruddin Haziq to win bronze.
