At 9 years, 2 months, and 18 days, Aarit Kapil, triumphed over Ziatdinov Raset, an experienced Grandmaster from the USA during the Category ‘A’ Open event.

Aarit Kapil is India’s rising star in the world of Chess. On December 8, 2024, he became the third youngest player ever to defeat a Grandmasterat the 15th KIIT International Chess Festival.
