Saleem Jaffer, the tall fast bowler, who was born on this day. The Pakistani took 5 for 11 on his first-class debut in 1983-84 and in 1985-86, he finished the season with 80 wickets at 19. He made his test debut against West Indies that season. Jaffer’s best Test outing came against New Zealand in Wellington in 1988-89, where he took match figures of 8 for 134.
