Narmada Kidney Foundation organised the 16th National Transplant Games on 2nd December, 2023 where patients from Delhi AIIMS bagged six medals.
Sport heals and it becomes true every year at the National Transplant Games. Narmada Kidney Foundation organised the 16th edition of this Games at Champion Academy in Dadar, Mumbai.
For the first time, Badminton was included in the Games. Heart Transplant patients from AIIMS Hospital, Delhi participated in the Games including Badminton. They also played Box Cricket, Track & Field Games, Carrom etc. The team showed exceptional skill and sportsmanship to win 6 medals in the Games.
The ORBO and CT Centre AIIMS facilitated the medal winners and encouraged them to celebrate life with more vigour and zest.
The medal winners from AIIMS were:
- Gaurav- 1 Gold (Box Cricket)
- Sharon- 1 Gold (Box Cricket)
- Sandeep- 1 Gold (Box Cricket)
- Pradeep- 1 Silver (Relay Race) and 1 Bronze (Badminton).
- Md. Wasim- 1 silver (100 m Race)
